4. tracking through Google Analytics

a.    Description and scope of data processing

We use the tracking tool Analytics on our website. In GoogleAnalytics, interactions of the user of our website are primarily recorded and systematically evaluated by means of cookies. If individual pages of our website are called up, the following data are stored:

- Three bytes of the IP address of the calling system of the user (anonymised IP address)

- The accessed website

- The website from which the user has reached the page called up on our website (referrer)

- The subpages that are called from the called page

- The time spent on the website

- The frequency of visiting the website

The software is set up in such a way that the IP addresses are not stored completely, but the last octet of the IP address is masked (e.g.:192.168.79.***). In this way, it is no longer possible to assign the shortened IP address to the calling computer or terminal device of the user.

b.    Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the processing of users' personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO (consent).

c.    Purpose of data processing

The processing of the user's personal data with the help of GoogleAnalytics enables us to analyse the surfing behaviour of our users. By evaluating the data obtained, we are able to compile information on the use of the individual components of our website. This helps us to constantly improve our own website and its user-friendliness.

The data stored by tracking will be deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for our recording purposes. In our case this is the case after twelve months.

e.    Possibility of objection

With the help of a browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js,analytics.js, dc.js), the user can prevent Google Analytics from using the data on our website.

If the user would like to deactivate Google Analytics, he can download and install the add-on for his own web browser. The add-on for deactivating Google Analytics is compatible with the current versions of Chrome, Internet Explorer,Safari, Firefox and Opera. For the add-on to work, it must be loaded and executed correctly in the browser. For Internet Explorer, third-party cookies must also be enabled.

5. integration of Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts for the uniform representation of fonts. When a page is called up, the user's browser loads the required web fonts into its own browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the user's browser must connect to Google's servers. This enables Google to know that our website has been accessed from the user's IP address.

b.    Legal basis for data processing

The integration of the Google Fonts service is necessary for the design of our website to meet the needs of our customers. This is also in our interest in data processing in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO (legitimate interests of us as responsible parties)

7. facebook fanpages

a.     Description and scope of data processing

We are operators of a social network within the social network Facebook, in order to be able to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users active there and inform them about our articles or services.

We point out that user data may be processed outside the area of the European Union. This can result in risks for the users, because, for example, the enforcement of rights could become a problem for the user. With regard to US providers certified under the Privacy Shield, we would like to point out that by doing so they undertake to comply with the EU's data protection standards. You can view a current certificate for Facebook here: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active

Furthermore, user data is generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created from the user behaviour and the resulting interests of the users. The user profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the users' computers, in which the usage behaviour and interests of the users are stored. Furthermore, data can also be stored in the user profiles independently of the devices used by the users (especially if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to these).

b.     Legal basis for data processing

The processing of users' personal data is based on our legitimate interests in effective information of users and communication/interaction with users in accordance with Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f. If the users are asked by the respective providers of the platforms to give their consent, e.g. with the help of a checkbox, to the data processing described above, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 letter a., Art. 7 DSGVO.

c.    Further information on data processing

For a detailed presentation of the respective processing and the possibilities of objection (opt-out), we refer to the following linked information of the providers.

Only the providers have access to the data of the users and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information. Should you nevertheless require assistance, you can contact us.
